As with any new relationship, partnership or friendship we need to learn about each other’s interests, find out about shared goals and challenges including attitudes towards health and lifestyle and then decide to spend time together to support shared goals.
That is how it felt when Lifetime’s, The Balancing Act producers contacted us for a possible partnership.
After discovering we have a lot of common interests in providing healthy solutions to empower their viewers to live healthier lifestyles, we met in person at their Florida studio. Meeting face to face, confirmed their genuine desire and commitment to quality programming, presenting real people with real stories, quality products, and services with valuable information.
I filmed a few features for the Balancing Act, which airs on Lifetime TV starting August 6th, 2012. I knew about the Balancing Act before filming but was completely impressed with how well it is run. Each day of the week they have a different theme (see the “themes” tab at the top of their website and they organize topics under each theme that will be of interest to their audience. In addition, the staff does a tremendous job of communicating with their viewers and making sure their features are fresh, interesting and useful. They reach out to their community on facebook, youtube, pinterest and twitter, and they also have a group of bloggers. This show was created for their viewers and made even better by viewer engagement.
Meeting the Hosts of The Balancing Act
The Balancing Act also has two very dynamic hosts that work well with each guest. Danielle is an award-winning journalist whose words draw you into each segment with keen interest. Kristy is a very energetic, enthusiastic anchor who commands a presence and engages instantly with style and finesse as soon as she walks into a room.
It is a true pleasure being a guest on The Balancing Act and I look forward to my next visit. Every person in their team of TV experts work together to make their features and community events engaging. And, they truly want their audience to take part, be involved, provide feedback and shape the future of their program. It’s a win-win partnership that helps people improve the health of so many people.
