Mocha Banana Frappuccino Recipe

 

As fall and winter approach it’s important to remember to take your Vitamin D!  This is a Frappuccino turned healthy- with chunks of banana added for some potassium which will both make this iced beverage delicious and a bit more filling.  This drink is amazing first thing in the morning to give you a nice little burst of energy.

Vitamin D may be helpful for the whole family, especially those who spend a great deal of time indoors, live in northern climates, or wear sunscreen who may not obtain enough Vitamin D from sun exposure alone. Additionally, it is difficult for your body to make enough Vitamin D in the winter months.

 

Mocha Banana Frappuccino

1 ½ Cups of Frozen Banana Chunks

8 Ice Cubes

1 cup chilled coffee

2 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder

¼ Cup Milk (Dairy or Nondairy)

tiny pinch of salt

2 Tsp. Wellesse Liquid Vitamin D3

Mix in blender until smooth.

This is a snazzy new take on the classic orange creamsicle. Adding mango makes a world of a difference.  This recipe includes the ever-popular Wellesse Calcium and D3 supplement. Its tropical flavor blends in so well with the mango, orange and vanilla flavor that you will never know you are drinking your vitamins.

Calcium is essential for strong bones and teeth and preventing osteoporosis while vitamin D helps to optimize calcium absorption and support a healthy immune system.  Mangoes are one of the richest sources of vitamin A and vitamin C and minerals namely potassium, calcium and phosphorus. It is laden with fiber too.  Drink up for your health! 

 

Mango Orange Creamsicle

1 Cup of Orange Juice

2 Cups of Frozen Mango Chunks

4 Ice Cubes

¼ Cup Yogurt (dairy or nondairy)

1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

2 Tbsp. Wellesse Calcium and Vitamin D3

Stevia to taste (optional)

Place all ingredients into blender and process till smooth.

Apple Cider Smoothie Recipe Sugar Free Gluten Free with B Complex

 

Fall is in the air! Apple cider takes this delicious vitamin B enriched smoothie to a whole new level. That’s right, apple cider doesn’t have to be enjoyed by itself.  By combining it with frozen yogurt this recipe it takes on an apple pie with vanilla ice cream flavor – that is OUT of this world!

B Complex vitamins work together in the body to promote energy metabolism and support mental focus.  Fresh cider is raw apple juice that has not been filtered with no sugar added and is a good source of potassium and iron.

The day before making this smoothie you will need to fill an ice cube tray with either dairy or nondairy plain or vanilla yogurt. Then you can store the cubes in a plastic baggy and use them as needed.

 

Apple Cider Smoothie

6-7 cubes of frozen yogurt (dairy or nondairy)

5 Ice Cubes

½- ¾ cup of apple cider

½ Tsp. Cinnamon

¾ Tsp. Vanilla Extract

1 Tablespoon Wellesse Liquid B Complex Vitamin

Liquid Stevia to taste

 

1.      Make your frozen cubes of yogurt a day in advance by placing plain or vanilla yogurt into an ice cube tray.

2.      Once cubes are frozen you can make your smoothie. Simply combine all ingredients in a blender.
